Hey,
I'm Liv
A Christian teenage girl with big goals of becoming a successful entrepreneur. My love for nature has always been big, so making and selling natural sugar scrubs automatically clicked for me.
I train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and work out from time to time. Let’s hope to see the black belt in ten years from now 😉
If you want a clearer picture of whose story you’re reading, here’s a summary; Everything that has to do with traveling and having new adventures, count me in. Laughing uncontrollably, listening to music, working out, cooking, reading and spending time with my friends make my average good day. There’s a multitude of other interests I have but the list would be too long for just a summary, of course.
Now… icebreaker aside, my company is something that I hold very dearly to my heart. Because of the work I put in for it and the dreams I have for the (near) future.
My brand is something I would have never imagined myself accomplishing 2 years ago. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always easy balancing school, training, and running my business, but I like to push the limits.
Shine By Liv offers sugar scrubs, a blog and a starting podcast. But it’s more than that. My goal here is not to teach anyone anything. God, I’m still figuring out my own life. I invest in opportunities like this one to actually learn more about how to grow a business, and communicate better with the world around me. And with your support, Shine By Liv will become a big and successful company.
I strongly believe that sharing experiences and ways to overcome tough situations in life at a young age is very valuable. It might even be one of the many keys to living a better life, knowing that you’re not the only one going through something.
One of my mottos in life is that confidence is key. According to the Cambridge English dictionary, confidence can be defined as ‘’The quality of being certain of your abilities or of having trust in people, plans, or the future.’’ Although that is true, I say that confidence is also a lifestyle. A way of living life easier and without regrets. Consider it as a cheat code. Even if you’re having a bad hair day, or you’re ”showing too many emotions” in public, it doesn’t change anything. Little side note, being confident isn’t being nonchalant, it’s not caring what other people think about your REAL self. As long as you’re at peace with your true self and treat your environment accordingly, nothing else in the world matters.
As long as you are confident with who you are, which I know may be hard for people, life just seems lighter. I know it seems so obvious to say, but honestly, don’t care about things that aren’t necessary to worry about. Think about it this way, we’re tiny creatures on a floating rock in an endless void… Life’s too short to live it for others. We all live through low self-esteem, whether we realize it or not. And trust me, it takes guts to stand up for yourself, whatever the scenario might be. But you got to push through. Self respect stands higher than feelings. Always remember that. Since anxiety is so so common, let it enjoy its visit and leave just as easily as it came. I believe in you, whoever you may be.
Once you know your stuff 100%, be confident and assertive about it. It will change your perception of yourself (and others) for the better. It will make you a better communicator, and I bet you a million dollars that improving the way you communicate with other people will help you build stronger relationships with the people around you. And even better; with yourself.
